Privacy Policy

The short version

  • You can chat with Franki anonymously. No account required.
  • Your messages are sent to Anthropic so the model can reply. We don’t use them to train any AI model.
  • We collect anonymous usage analytics (page views, clicks) via PostHog and Google Analytics — first-party cookies only, no advertising trackers.
  • We only collect your name, email, and (for hot-lead handoff) phone, country, and brand of interest when you voluntarily submit them through one of the in-chat cards. We use that information to follow up with you.
  • We don’t sell your data, ever. We don’t share it with advertisers.
  • You can ask us to delete your data anytime by emailing phi@nguyenphivan.com.

Who runs Franki

Franki is a free, multilingual AI franchise tutor built and operated by Nguyễn Phi Vân. Contact: phi@nguyenphivan.com.

What we collect

Automatically (every visitor)

  • Usage analytics via PostHog and Google Analytics: page views, the path you take through the site, approximate location (country/region), device type, browser, language, referring source.
  • Conversation content: the messages you send in chat are transmitted to Anthropic (the maker of Claude) so the model can generate Franki’s reply. They are also briefly held in our server logs for debugging.
  • Technical metadata: IP address, user agent, referrer URL — used for rate limiting and abuse prevention.

Only when you submit it (lead capture)

  • Standard lead card: your name and email.
  • High-intent handoff card: name, email, phone, country, brand of interest.
  • Alongside the above, we save the recent conversation transcript and a structured profile (country, capital range, category, urgency) extracted from your conversation, so whoever follows up with you has context.

How we use it

  • To provide and improve the Franki tutor.
  • To follow up with you about a franchise opportunity, only if you submitted a lead card asking us to.
  • To understand which topics learners care about and which tools help them.
  • To prevent abuse, fraud, and spam.

We do not: sell your data, share it with advertisers, use it to train AI models, or send unsolicited marketing email.

Where your data lives (sub-processors)

  • Anthropic(United States) — processes your chat messages to generate Franki’s replies. Anthropic does not train its models on API traffic by default.
  • Vercel (United States, multi-region) — hosts the application and its serverless functions.
  • Wix CMS (United States / Israel) — stores lead submissions in the FrankiLeads collection.
  • Resend (United States) — sends the lead notification email to Nguyễn Phi Vân.
  • PostHog (United States) — product analytics. First-party cookies only.
  • Google Analytics 4 (Google, global) — aggregate traffic analytics. First-party cookies only; IP anonymisation is enabled by default in GA4.

Cookies

Franki sets only first-party analytics cookies from PostHog and Google Analytics so we can count unique visits and measure flows. We do not use cross-site advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or third-party trackers. You can block analytics cookies in your browser settings without breaking the tutor.

Retention

  • Lead records in FrankiLeads: kept until you ask us to delete them, or until they are demonstrably no longer relevant.
  • Server logs (IP, user agent, request metadata): kept for up to 30 days for debugging and abuse prevention.
  • Analytics datain PostHog and GA4: retained per each platform’s default retention window (typically ≤ 14 months).

Your rights

Depending on where you live (EU/UK GDPR, California CCPA, Brazil LGPD, etc.), you have the right to:

  • Know what personal data we hold about you.
  • Get a copy of it.
  • Correct inaccurate data.
  • Ask us to delete your lead record and any associated chat transcript.
  • Withdraw consent for analytics cookies.

To exercise any of these, email phi@nguyenphivan.com from the same email address you used to submit your lead. We respond within 30 days.

International transfers

Some sub-processors are based in the United States. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another jurisdiction with data-export rules, your data may be transferred to the United States. We rely on each sub-processor’s standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards.

Children

Franki is not directed at children under 16. If you believe a child has submitted personal data through the lead cards, please email us and we will delete the record.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as Franki evolves. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect any changes. Material changes will be highlighted in the chat.
